India - Moonsooned Malabar AA

Roasted - Dark but because of its monsooned process it appears as a medium.

Cupping Notes - Full-bodied, earthy, tobacco, and spice notes.

About - During monsoon season, natural processed coffee beans are exposed in layers of 4-6 inch thickness to moisture-laden Monsoon winds in a brick or concrete-floored warehouse. They do this to reenact a cargo shipment that was soaked by hundreds of inches of rain from India to Europe during the monsoon season. The result is a coffee that is greatly altered by the rains. Most of the acid is washed away but the earthy flavors that remain are accentuated by musty tones and smooth body.
